Getting Acquainted With the Pat Guyton Pilates Approach
Our studio has a unique, specific approach to teaching Pilates. We teach Pilates classes and we are also Franklin Method Educators. Our students learn how their body is designed and why it is important to move in a functional range of motion. We begin by teaching each student anatomy and function in a fun and easy way. This knowledge will help you perform any exercise safely, efficiently, and progress faster. You will be taught an individual program designed for you. We also teach you the rationale behind the exercises so you can experience Pilates “from the inside, out”. We offer orientation packages for those who are new to Pilates or for those who have done Pilates and would like to experience our approach.
Orientation
For students new to Pat Guyton Pilates, we recommend three private hours to start. These hours are spent preparing you to take Mat or Reformer classes. See Pilates class fees.
Private Sessions
The most effective way to begin exploring and understanding the Pilates method of body conditioning is through one-on-one private sessions that are tailored to your specific needs. This individualized instruction maximizes your integration of the many concepts and movements on all pieces of equipment.
Duets
Designed for two people who are ready to begin the process of integration into a group class.
Classes
A great way to integrate your beginning, intermediate or advanced knowledge of your workout. A Pilates Class has the same quality of education in a shared environment. If you prefer taking class you will enjoy a sense of community and camaraderie.
Mentoring Sessions
Mentoring sessions are available to Pilates Teachers. Please contact the studio for more information.
Pat is an inspiration to me. Her Pilates classes have become my medicine. I was in pain mentally and physically before I started Pilates. I started with one class a week and quickly moved to three times a week. Pilates and Pat have given me the confidence to try new things and do them on my own. Last year I climbed four mountain peaks: Mt Audubon, Grays and Torreys Peak and South Arapahoe Peak. My life has changed. I am stronger, healthier, have less pain, and I am happier.
